Less of a game, and more of a work of art.

This game comes close to being perfect.

The characters and monsters were designed by famous manga artist Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragonball. So the characters have that "DBZ" anime look to them.

The highly emotative music was composed by Koichi Sugiyama. Another genius involved with this game.

Other talented people include Akihiro Hino and Yuji Horii, the director and game designer, along with many good writers that are too many to list here.

The point is, many very talented and intelligent people came together to create this game in the Dragon Quest series, and the end result is that they created a work of art. Dare I say a masterpiece.

If there is any game that can convince people that games can reach or evolve to a state of artwork,...it is this one.


Music.
Highly memorable, heart gripping, and soul stirring.

Graphics.
Cel shaded, beautiful, attractive, and lush.

Gameplay.
Turn based. Good but not great. But serves its purpose and gets the job done.

Story.
Fantastic. You will be teary eyed and with a smile on your face when you see its ending, and its story is totally compelling and involving from start to finish.

Just simply an incredible game that has a story that must be experienced.
