  1. In my opinion...The NEO game is better.

Posted by Antonio on 6th May 2010

I only like this one less than Dragonball Z Sparking! Neo because the controller configuration does not allow for full customization.

Therefore, I have to re-learn how to play using forced upon new controller set up. which sucks!

After playing the previous sparking games with my personal button configuration, only to have to re-learn how to play something I had already mastered,...solely because the developers decided to not allow full button configuration, which therefore causes me to not compete in the game at a high level because I kept losing due to me pressing the wrong buttons, is not cool!

I am too used to my personal button configuration from the two previous Sparking games to go through the trouble of re-learning button layouts!

It was a stupid mistake by Atari and Spike to not allow the full customization of the ps2 controller button layouts.
But it was a big one!
In other words, the developers were inconsiderate to EVERYONE who had previously owned a Sparking game and had gotten used to their OWN PERSONAL button layouts!!!
Everyone who played the previous sparking games who did not use the default button layout, had trouble enjoying the gameplay!

    Anyway, besides that major issue-
    the game has-
-more characters than any other previous DBZ game.
-saiyans could tranform to giant monkey by the rising of the moon in the stage area.
-some offense/defense additions that made fighting more dramatic.

If it was not for the mistake by developers in negating the full customization of the button layout...I might have considered this one the best DBZ game to date for the ps2.
But they did, so I don't.
