This is the ULTIMATE MATCH version of the 1998 KOF game, which means its the revamped and revised version.

The game has 3 modes in regards to the customization of your chosen team's abilities. You can customize your team's abilities to your liking.

The ultimate mode, is the best one because in this mode it lets you go into deep and personal customization. The ultimate mode allows intricate and detailed adjustments to your team's abilities.
The ultimate mode has three adjustment settings.

Power type

Aside from this, the main menu has the classic KOF choices. Team, single, vs, endless(survival), and gallery.
There is lots and lots of artwork in gallery mode.

The game also includes NEOGEO mode where you can play KOF 98 in the neogeo system.

Its also a very well balanced game character-wise, like the NEOGEO Battle Coliseume game.
