If you are a great fan of Rurouni Kenshin, we recommend that you try to play this game!
Also if you don't know Japanese well, it can be hard to follow the story, but it is still worth playing.
The battle system is very good, a lot of the original attacks, special attacks with movie
and enjoy making the chains of moves!

Graphics-very, very good. Characters are cel-shaded and look great. They look exactly like their anime/manga forms. the towns and locations look good too.
Sound/Music-great, the best thing is the sound effects of sword strikes.
Gameplay-really well done. I expected less, but got so much more! the gameplay is very deep. Surprisingly deep, you can block, dodge roll, have weak+strong attacks assigned to two different buttons, and you can also switch to a posed "swordsman" stance which is also a lock-on feature. This helps for boss fights, but you have to be careful because the stance is geared for a more offensive type gameplay, and you may want to switch out of it if you end up getting pummeled by a boss character.
you also have a few super type moves at your disposal.
Story-it follows the adventures of Kenshin and his crew of friends that starts in his Edo period saga.
Story mode is very, very well done in that the story is acted out like on the tv show, and no storyboard cut-outs are used.
i haven't finished the game yet to tell you if it ends like the show or not.
The story mode is time elapse based, so you can progress through it just by walking around and talking to people. it sorta reminds me of naruto shippuden accel games, without the need to accomplish missions.
i would suggest writing down where to save and load on a piece of paper, because the screens for saving, loading, and leveling up are a bit complicated.
The developers did a great job in servicing fans of Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X.
