Very import friendly. Everything that is important in the menu system is in english along with the names of the characters.
This POWER INSTINCT PS2 game is about funny characters that aren't found in other fighting games, but the gameplay is seriously deep and satisfying.
Graphics-on the level of street fighter alpha series. It has good framerate and characters are well well animated/drawn with lifelike expressions.
Music-great music overall. Has a wierd soundtrack, but very, very enjoyable that fits with the base of the premise of the game.
Gameplay-It falls into the "old school" category of fighting games. Meaning its gameplay is more similar to the gameplay of street fighter/king of fighters gameplay than the "new school" of fighting games like Guilty Gear/Melty Blood/Arcana Heart.
It uses four buttons. Two for punching, two for kicking, going from weak to strong.
Supers are commited like in classic fighters, ala quarter circle movement+button.
You can double jump, and evasion roll similar to KOF.
There is a auto BURST like in GG, if you find yourself pummeled too much, so you can't be taken advantage of in a corner.
There also super ultra moves once you fill the super meter.
18 characters to play with.
There is also a card system that is basically is used to customize your character in your way of choice. It ranges from getting help from support characters to changing movesets.
Very well thought and deep gameplay.
Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonno Kaiho is definately a game you want to get if you are a fan of the old school fighters like street fighter and kof.
