I had never played a Shining game before getting this one, so I am not judging it in comparison with any of the other games in this shining series.
1graphics are cel shaded and nice looking. Characters and monsters were nice looking and everything, including the scenery was nice looking.
2)Music was okay to good.
3)Gameplay is what turned me off to this game. first off, you and your AI controlled allies can't guard against attacks at all! Which leads to you CONSTANTLY having to resurrect your allies, or feed them health potions all awhile getting attacked by mobs and mobs of monsters.
Second, different weapons give your character different attacks, but they don't vary much between weapons of the same type. And lastly, you can't issue orders to your allies...which leads to them getting killed, soon and often.
If you like the Shining type gameplay, then maybe you'll like it...but I don't.
The only reason I gave this game a rating of 2 instead of 1, was because a good part of the story telling involves actual anime film scenes.
